THE MOTHER OF ALL GOATS! Full Moon madness/musings.

I know I am a little late off the blocks with this post. The Full Moon in Capricorn was a weekend thing although its energy will flow and grow in the weeks to come. Today is Monday and frankly, it took me all of four days to process and articulate what that big white glowing ball of rock in the heavens was frantically messaging. All I knew at the time was that there was an urgency, potency and a fair amount of transmutation occurring, posing as pain. How our own wounds influence our parenting and how kids heal us.

“The very most profound thing we have to offer our children is our own healing.” – Anne Lammot You know that a-ha moment you get when you become a parent; that moment of sheer fear mixed with utter disbelief that something so small has had such a massive impact on your life, on your very being? With all the big factories springing up all over the city, it’s hard to make a living as a shoemaker these days.” With a sigh, the shoemaker cut out the last strip of leather and left it on her workbench.”     I have been fortunate over the years to gather into my orbit a constellation of wonder-full women friends. Not only have they provided copious cups of tea, […]

Secret Mum’s Business. The true origins of Mother’s Day and beyond.

A few days have passed since the official Mother’s Day but every day has been my day since I had my first son 24 years ago.  Not a moment goes past where I don’t at some point think of what it means to be a mother. I’m writing my next contribution to Parenting For New Reality: Multidimensional Motherhood.  It’s going to take a while!  I have so much to say, so much to explore and investigate both personally and in terms of societies view of motherhood that I have probably bitten off more than I can chew but I will.. like any brave mother, forge onward knowing that no effort is pointless, no time ever wasted nurturing something or someone you feel […]
